Reflecting on a Year of Progress and Looking Ahead
December 2025
Our learning platform is now live!
December 2025
As 2025 comes to a close, December offers a moment to pause and reflect on a year of steady progress and consolidation for the CARS Project EU. While this month did not centre around a single flagship event, it marked an important point of transition as the project moved from classroom implementation and data collection toward reflection, synthesis, and preparation for wider dissemination.
Throughout 2025, partners across Malta, Cyprus, and Spain worked closely with teachers and students to implement AR storytelling in real classroom contexts. Students transformed written stories into visual and interactive experiences, while educators explored new ways of fostering creativity, engagement, and language learning through AR.
This hands-on work was supported by classroom observations, questionnaires, and teacher interviews, forming the basis of the project’s empirical study. By the end of the year, these activities had provided valuable insights into how AR can support learning, motivation, and creative expression when thoughtfully integrated into language education.
Looking back, 2025 has been a year of depth and maturity for the CARS Project EU. Building on the foundations laid in earlier phases, the project strengthened its research base, expanded international dissemination through conferences and seminars, and advanced the development of pedagogical guidelines informed by both classroom evidence and wider research in the field of AR and education.
Equally important has been the continued collaboration among project partners. Through regular coordination and shared reflection, the consortium ensured that insights from different contexts contributed to a coherent and human-centred approach to technology-enhanced learning.
As the project moves into the next phase, the focus will increasingly shift toward sharing outcomes, supporting educators and school leaders, and ensuring that the lessons learned through CARS reach a wider audience. The work completed throughout 2025 places the project in a strong position to translate research and practice into meaningful impact.
We would like to thank all partners, educators, and students who have contributed to the CARS Project EU this year. We look forward to continuing this journey in the year ahead.
Wishing everyone a restful holiday season and a positive start to the new year. 🌟
