Successful Cyprus Hybrid Multiplier Event
February 2026
Our learning platform is now live!
February 2026
February marked an important dissemination milestone for the CARS Project EU with the successful completion of the Cyprus Hybrid Multiplier Event, which brought together over 40 educators in person, alongside additional participants who joined online.
Titled “Augmented Reality (AR) in Education Workshop | CARS Project – Cyprus Workshop”, the event was organised by CYENS Centre of Excellence in collaboration with Dimotiko Scholeio Agias Napas–Antoni Tsokkou. Held on Wednesday, 18 February at the Primary School of Oroklini in Larnaca and streamed live via Zoom, the workshop created a valuable space for educators to explore how Augmented Reality can be meaningfully integrated into teaching and learning.
Throughout the session, participants were introduced to the wider aims and outcomes of the CARS Project EU, including the project’s objectives, key results, and pilot implementations. The workshop also highlighted AR as an innovative pedagogical tool for creative learning and digital storytelling, offering educators the opportunity to reflect on how immersive technologies can enrich classroom practice.
A live demonstration of the Zapworks platform gave participants practical insight into how AR content can be created and experienced, while student-created AR stories were showcased through QR-enabled examples. These concrete demonstrations helped bring the project’s work to life, allowing attendees to see how AR can support storytelling, engagement, and creativity in educational settings. The event also included practical discussion around classroom integration strategies, helping educators think about how such approaches could be adapted within their own teaching contexts.
By the end of the workshop, the multiplier event had clearly achieved its core aim: to disseminate the project’s outcomes and equip educators with practical knowledge to begin implementing AR-enhanced learning experiences in their own classrooms. All participants received a certificate of attendance in recognition of their engagement and commitment to innovative teaching practices.
A heartfelt thank you goes to all educators who took part - both in person and online - and contributed to the dynamic exchange of ideas throughout the event. As the CARS Project EU continues to share its findings and resources, this workshop stands as a strong example of how collaboration and dissemination can support meaningful educational innovation.
